One more for the Blue Team!

CONGRATULATIONS, TAMI!! Count that as one more for the BLUE team!! I don't mind boys....heck, I don't know what to do if I had a girl. Here's to good health for the next four months!!
Love You!!

We're ONLINE

Well, the move went pretty smoothly and everything seems in working order. I am sad to say that we no longer have our Super-duper speedy internet and are stuck with this SLOW as tar People PC. Things could be worse, though, we could have no internet at all! Now that is a scary thought.

So far, Gavin hasn't torn up my Grandma's house like I thought he would. Nothing has been broken...knock on wood. He has adjusted well, but I haven't. I am not having fun. Luckily, they moved up the date on when we will be moving into our new home. Some time in June, rather than July or August. That's a plus. Also, we leave for Arizona next Friday for a week. We definately need some sunshine! All this snow is getting to me.

Closing

Today we close on the sale of our home......crazy. Last week at this time I was absolutely dreading this day, but today I am surprisingly calm and excited. Thank goodness. I didn't think I would make it there for a little bit. Poor Gavin has bee wiggling in and out of boxes all week and I know he's getting sick of them by now.

We did find a home! Luckily for us it won't be finished until July and it will give us some time to save money on mortgage payments and save up for some new furniture and pay off our car. The only draw back is living out of boxes for a time, but it will be nice to spend some much needed time with my grandparents.

Here's what they look like...and the best part....there near EVERYONE! 5 miles from my mom and dad and 5 minutes from Lacey and Tami! SSSaaawwweeeettt!

Also, Gavin went to the doctor for a follow up on his ears and NO infection! Ya hoo! Now lets just keep it that way, shall we?!

Wish us luck!

Wiggly Worm

THIS KID WILL NOT SIT STILL!! He just inch worms' his little bug self EVERYWHERE. And boy is he quick! One second he's watching Baby Einstein and the next he's in my room playing with the "boingy thing" behind the door. He gets into it all....Remotes, boxes, laundry baskets, cupboards, our cell phone chargers......Wow, they grow up so fast!

Valentines

Happy Valentine's Day!!

For Valentine's Day, Tim and I celebrated with the usual crazy singing stuffed animals, candy and mucho lovin'. Hey, why change what works?! ;)
Poor Gavin....he was soooo tired by the time I took these pictures. Sorry one is upside down and the other......I just can't explain it. Why on earth would you take your children to Kiddie Kandids for the holiday photos when you have me as a photographer?? You decide.

We Won the War

FINALLY! Now that the ear infections are gone and Gavin's all healed up he is FINALLY starting to eat like himself again. He has seriously only gained one pound since he was 4 months old. Thanks to him just not being able to shake those darn ear infections. Now he nurses like crazy (sometimes like he did when he was a newborn) and eats TONS of food! I think the poor kid is just making up for lost time. He LOVES any kind of food we put in front of him. His favorite are Bananas and anything mixed with them, especially grapes! (Sorry if TMI, but he did have a nice purple present for me in his diaper this morning!)

Wet Noodle

Now that Gavin can sit up, I decided it might be easier to throw him (not literally) into the sink. He loves bathtime and getting his face wet. He is a water bug for sure! (Tim would KILL me if he knew I did this! Well, I guess that's why you DONT post things like this on the internet)

Look at that face....I crack up everytime I look at it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE TIMMMMMAY

On February 13, 1982, my sexy monster of a husband was brought into this world. And to commemorate this special occasion (like we ALWAYS do for any kind of holiday or birthday!) I woke him up at 12:01 AM to wish him a very merry Birthday. Luckily, he wasn't too upset. I honestly think he was just waiting for it. He's always so excited for his birthday. I then "oh so sneakily" snuck out into the living room by telling him Gavin needed to eat. I then made him a saaawwweeet lunch (from the restaurant) for the next day along with cupcakes with candles in them. I gave him a giant sign with a letter from Gavin on it and a new BYU hat, since his other was getting pretty ragged. He also flipped out when I gave him his BIG surprise.......FLYING LESSONS! I honestly thought he was going to wet his pants, but he didn't and I'm greatful.....Plus, I don't want to have to do another lode of laundry!

BTW, Mr. Gavin loves balloons.....just so everyone is on the same page.....
I also wanted to tell Tim how much I love him. Ever since I saw him in the lobby of discover card, I knew I was a "smitten kitten" (thanks bachelor). He always makes me laugh. He has the best heart and is always willing to do anything for Gavin and I. I love him!! LUB LUB LUB to him!

Happy Birthday, Nanna

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Nanna!

Happy Birthday (one month ago!) to the best stepmom any person could POSSIBLY want. I sure did get lucky when my dad chose you! Also, thank you for giving me the CUTEST brother and baby sister ever. You mean the world to me and Jessica. You always know how to handle situations and how to give us the best advice. Thank you for standing by Tim and I through everything. You truly are one of a kind!

Homeless?

Yes, family.....I am alive. No, I haven't joined an Amish community nor have I committed myself to rehab (which does seem like the trend now a days). However, I was able find some free time and thought that I had better update my blog. I have been up to plenty this past month and whoever wants to can keep reading for the full update...if not, there will be plenty of pictures.

First of all, right after new years, we decided to put our home on the market. Yup, we decided to sell our beautiful home. Why? Why the heck not! Oh yeah.....I forgot to mention that we made $72,000 off of it!!!! We did it for the love of money! Now we are going to take that $ and put it down on a new home of about the same size and owe that much less. IT'S AWESOME!! Now there is just one trick...... we don't know where on earth we want to go! After the sell of our home (which sold in 2 weeks!), we found a cute little town home. Sadly, we ended up backing out of that because of some inspection issues as well as a good ol' fashioned feeling of "something isn't right". Soooooo......needless to say..... we will be homeless as of next Friday. But not to worry! We will be staying in my Grandma and Grandpa's home while they are in Yuma until we find a place (hopefully soon!)

I must say that my testimony on the power of prayer has definitely been strengthened. Tim and I both have been on our knees day and night trying to figure out why we were prompted to sell our home. At first, we had Nephi's "I will go, I will do" attitude. We were even pretty optimistic about the entire ordeal. Then we sold our home. We thought all was well, but we really felt strong promptings from the Holy Ghost (and a loving mother) that we should NOT buy the home we were thinking about. "Great.......now what do we do?" I cried and cried for 3 days straight. We fasted.....prayed......but we still couldn't get an answer. How could we leave such a PERFECT neighborhood and PERFECT home? Finally, Heavenly Father stepped in last night. After I was completely emotionally exhausted, all of a sudden, I received this idea that we could do something we had never thought of before. Down the street from us they are building homes in EXACTLY our budget! How on earth could we have overlooked it?! Amazing, I'll tell ya.....absolutely amazing! In the end, we have decided to look at homes for one more week and if we don't find what we would like, we will build new.....right next door. And owe half of what we owe now!

And one more thing I must reiterate........yes, we prayed to Heaven Father about this.....yes, he answered......we did.......it's as simple as that. We are trying to do what he tells us to do. We are out to please Heavenly Father. We know some of you think we are crazy (or even stupid) but we're only out to do what we were prompted.

Also, we need to move fast before I hear one more rendition of Tim singing "Homeless" from the Forgotten Carols.
