"They're my Magic Shoes"

The other day, Gavin wormed downstairs into the foyer yelling for "DADA" like he does a million times a day. I went down because everything got really quiet and I knew he was up to no good. I peak down and I see he's putting on my shoes. I didn't even think he knew where those went. He is too smart for his own good!


Getting REALLY mad because he can't get them back on! Can somebody say "Nap"?!

Tim's New Toy

Tim FINALLY saved up enough moolah to buy his new sports accessory! He has every sports channel now with our cable...including THE Mountain! He can't shut up. I've had to sit on the couch for a week while he showed me all the features ( I really didn't listen ). I have a feeling Tim's not getting BYU season tickets this year. I think all the games will be watched right here!

The Fan

Last Wednesday, we headed over to my Grandparents for a big BBQ and hang out with my uncle Stephen and his family. To keep things cool on the patio, Grandpa brought out this fan and Gavin couldn't stay away. He would lean into it and just giggle! I thought it was hilarious!

Moving

Gavin's gone nuts! He's into anything and everything since he started walking! He can get onto his big trucks and reach the remotes. Man, I'm in trouble. Anyone got a straight jacket??

Neighborly Luv

I can't believe how much I already love living here!! Our neighbors are all so wonderful and we are all such close friends after only living near each other for a month. Our old neighborhood wasn't nearly this close! Tonight, Jordan (the neighborhood planner) got us all out for a BBQ. We just line the courtyard with food and let the dogs and Gavin run wild. (No one in our neighborhood has kids....just dogs....although, one girl is pregnant!) We're always outside talking and hanging out and going through each others houses. I LOVE it!! Next week were all going camping.
This isn't even the crowd we had....most the people had left by now. Brandt cooking up our chicken.

Movin' on up

Gavin started walking July 11, 2007! That date is ever engraved into my memory simply because I thought for sure it would NEVER happen. Well, once again he proved me wrong! I was putting away groceries late last Wednesday and I heard him just giggling, so I walked around the bar and there he was, like a little baby alien, coming at me! It was the best moment.....yup, I started to cry a little.

I grabbed the camera ASAP! I love the pictures of his first steps!

Well, the fireworks must have did it for this beautiful boy because he wanted out the day after! Congratulations to Tami and Wyatt on such a BEAUTIFUL baby boy! Heck, what am I saying....ALL your boys are B-E-A UUUUtiful!

Happy Independance Day!

Brian and Sally were nice enough to invite us over for a prefirework BBQ. I haven't had good food like that in awhile. I think I'm still full from it!

We stopped at the park on the way home to catch a glimpse of the fireworks. Gavin didn't like them at first, probably the loud sound, but was fine after I clapped my hands. He was totally mesmerized.

Happy 4th all! Thanks to everyone who has made or is making sacrifices for our country. We love you all and pray for you. Jonathan, Lancer, Winkie and Brandi (yes, you're making sacrifices too!) we love you and thank you!

GAVIN's 1st BIRTHDAY!!

For Gavin's 1st Birthday we all headed out to Wheeler Farm for an icecream party.....okay, a slightly melted icecream party. It was so much fun! Gavin loved every minute, only because ALL the attention was on him. What a sociallite! Thanks to Wyatt, I have a TON of pictures to blog. I thought I did a good job with the pictures...but Wyatt proved my wrong once again. I LOVE THEM! (side note....Tami, we really missed you! I hope you are feeling okay and can keep that baby in there just a little longer!! We love you!) Gavin didn't quite know what to do with the cake. He kind of just stared at it for a minute, but then jumped on in! He liquidfied the cake. I think the cake made him a little sick the next day, though....I've never fed him anything with sugar in it and I don't think he was too comfortable the next day. (another side note.....Lacey, we missed you and girls too! I hope you had fun in Idaho, though!) MY BOY IS GETTING SO STINKING BIG!

Happy Birthday to my wonderful, beautiful momma! For her birthday everyone came over for dinner and we just hung out all night. It was great!

Banana Boy

Gavin had his first banana the other day. I was holding one and he started freaking out. So I threw him in his highchair and before I could take off his shirt, he DEVOURED the entire thing. It was cute, but boy was it messy.
