Bachelor Meltdown

Dumb Bachelor....I'm so sad. I feel so heartbroken and distraught....could someone get me a tissue?! Oh well, I'll still be a devout Bachelor watcher until the day I die. Hopefully it's not today. I HAVE to watch the 'After the Rose' Show...then I can die. After someone gets me some freakin' tissue......still waiting!

Gavin playing Momma a sad song on his drums. He knows the entire rendition of "My Heart Will Go On". Momma's little Mozart... **SNIFF**

And the Allmighty Puddin'

I saw all of these blogs and pictures of toddlers eating chocolate pudding. I never in a million years would have thought my kid would love it, because I HATE the stuff...sorry...hate is such a strong word. Well, due to insurmountable bouts of indirect peer pressure, I gave into the Pudding Monster. Oh the mess.... but I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Sorry, it's unnessecarily long...

Loop Loop Ninja

My son is a Fruit Loop fanatic. He could eat them all day long and never blink. One day, I accidentally left the bag on the kitchen table while I was cleaning up and low and behold, my little ninja figured out a way to get to them. I didn't even think that he was tall enough to see where I left him. He has a nose on him, that's for sure! Note to self: don't leave the Loops on the refrigerator.....remember last time?

Caught!

The Almighty Pot Roast

Now, I love to cook, I really do. The only problem with me cooking is the mess that appears. And along with a mess comes the Tim with windex in hand. Luckily, Tim has eased off quite a bit when I showed him how much we can buy at the grocery store with the money we eat out with, let alone how much sexier my butt will look when we start eating healthier. I totally had him at sexier pooper.

So, in honor of my new abilites, here is my VERY FIRST POT ROAST! Not that many will find it THAT amazing, but I do! We could spend $15 eating out at Quizno's OR I could make a fantastic meal that will last us a couple of days for $15. You be the judge. I'm surprised that it took the penny pincher so long to figure it out, but you can't blame the man for trying.

Death to Text Messaging!

I'm sorry, I just don't get text messaging. Yes, I agree it's convenient. It's nice not to have to call someone and have a long conversation when a text message would have saved you precious time. I get that, I really do....BUT do you really have to do it while I'm trying to have a conversation with you?? Or even when someone is trying to help you or while DRIVING?! I cannot begin to describe how many people come into the restaurant wanting food and won't actually talk to ME because they're busy text messaging. I skipped over a woman today who looked incredibly engrossed in punching sentances into her phone. She was so upset and about had my head and even accused me of skipping her because she was "ethnic"! Ethnic?! Are you kidding me?! I don't care! I just freaking asked you 10 TIMES if you were ready to order! After the 11th time, I skipped you and went to the nice old guy ready to eat! Give me a BREAK! Atleast the old guy defended me. That was nice. THEN, to make matters worse, I'm driving home from the restaurant and I noticed this little white Nissan jerking back and forth in his lane and going about 50 miles per hour....ON THE FREEWAY! I was scared to pass him. Then out of no where the car jerked to one side almost hitting the giant concrete baracade seperating the drivers from certain death. After this, I decided I'd better hurry and pass them before I die myself and as I'm passing I looked to see if the person was possibly convulsing or trying to give CPR....NOPE a 16 year old kid...just text messaging. I know he was messaging because The screen was so big I could almost read the words (it was one of dem dare fancy phones). What's wrong with you people?! STOP TEXT MESSAGING AND DRIVING! YOU ARE GOING TO KILL SOMEONE! Can't you just freaking wait until you get home?!

Alright, I'm done now.

*****BTW, the restaurant is Robert's Restaurant....Lance's family restaurant that I've worked at since I was a junior in high school. I have to work atleast 1 night a week so I can keep the discount on the food. Eat there Today!******

Tagged

I always loved playing tag....then again, the only time I EVER played tag was with my sister who was alot smaller and weaker than me (at the time) and I ruled every time. I'll bet you she is STILL scared of me. Anyways, Tiffany tagged me on her blog and I couldn't believe that I FINALLY was TAGGED to do a survey. I know I need to get a life, but it's SOO cool! (Thanks Tiffany!)

What I was doing 10 years ago: According to everyone else, I was in 9th grade (I can't retrace that far mathematically...sorry) I was a co-captain for the West Lake Jr. High Cheerleading Squad and THOUGHT I was the Shiznit. Little did I know. I was always busy with softball, karate, playing the violin and fighting with my sister ALL the time. I didn't have a care in the world. I remember always getting to sleep in, never having to stress about anything other than homework. While it was fun, though, I'd probably never go back.

What I was doing 5 years ago: Gimme a sec....I've got to figure it out.....I was 19 and hanging out with Julie "The Thack Attack" Thacker and getting into LOTS of trouble. I regret most everything I did around this time. Oh well, you live you learn, right. Luckily, for me, after this time period, I found the LDS church and was truly converted *much to some people's dismay*. You have to go through the rough to really find Heavenly Father and it was worth it! After I cleaned up my mess, I met the love of my life, TIM (in case you were wondering) at a job interview. He has never left my side since.

One year ago: Gavin was about 5 months old and the light of our life. We had built a house out in Stansbury Park and were just happy as could be (except I remember this was the time breast feeding was awful!). I would never have thought my life would have turned out this way. God has truly blessed us and I can't imagine my life any different. I was also starting to reconnect with my old friends and was just loving being a mommy.

Yesterday: Was so much fun! I love Saturdays! Mostly because its my "day off". First, we slept in....BEAutiful, then we went grocery shopping (fun because I'm on Weight-Watchers and it's hard to find stuff to eat around the house). Then we all watched Ratatouille and took a nice long nap and after that Tim went to ball fields with Mike, Micha, Bubba and some more guys from our neighborhood and played baseball. Then Tim took Gavin to our friend Brian's house while I hung out with the girls. We all went over to Kirstin's and got into this GIANT hot tub and talked until 1 AM. Also, I loved seeing Torrie's new baby who is just the cutest baby girl I've ever seen. She looks just like Torrie. I am so blessed to have friends who know more about me than anyone and I can talk to them about anything. It's a good feeling.

5 snacks I enjoy: Umm....chocolate.....watermelon......Papa Johns breadsticks ......cantaloupe ...... Healthy Choice, Mint chocolate chip frozen yogurt.......in that order.

5 things I would do if I had $100 Million: Holy cow, first I would throw up. That would freak me out. Then I would pay tithing, because the ONLY way I would have this money is because of the big guy, I would then pay off my house and car and buy Tim a snowboard (first things first, right?!) Then I would buy my mom and Shawn, Dad and Jodi and maybe Jessica if she can keep her room clean, a NICE house and make sure they would NEVER have to worry about money again. Then I would really try to help out those who need it. I know there are about a million people who would need it so I would have to figure that out for sure. Last, but not least, I would by me a nice closet full of clothes that are not from when I was in high school (believe me, they're not that cute....and I'm a tad larger than before). Oh yeah...Tim wants to make sure he gets a new truck.

5 places I would run away to: Assuming I get to keep the money, I would definitely run to Disney World...the happiest place on earth...then if that's closed for some weird reason, I would leave for the Bahamas (I love the warm water)....THEN if that island is out of the question, I would go to Seattle to see my older sister (sorry about being third on the list, Coty...You can come to the other places with me!) ....After that I would go home to my house....and if no one was there.....My mom or my dads...whoever answers the door first.

5 TV shows I like: I really only get to watch TV via the Internet so I'm really not up to date on some of the new series. But I do love to watch Grey's Anatomy (borderline obsessed), The Hills (I know I'm too old, but I'm still on team Lauren), The Office (Dwight's my secret crush), America's Next Top Model (Thanks Lacey), and depending on the season....The Bachelor.

5 things I hate doing: I HATE putting away laundry, particularly whites. No problem washing it, but it's the folding and putting away that stinks. I hate cleaning the bathrooms, feeling like I've done nothing, dishes and cleaning the highchair (that thing can get nasty!).

5 biggest joys of the moment: Knowing how smart and cute my son is (at least to me) and knowing Tim and I were always meant to be together and loving the connection we have. Having a husband who loves me with all of his heart and is constantly doing things to make Gavin and I happy makes life worth living. Having a wonderful family who loves me! Having friends who would do anything for me! I also love teaching my boy all about Heavenly Father and the holidays. When he folds his arms when we pray and leads the music in Sacrament for us, it just melts my heart.

I now have to tag 5 (or so) people: Okay, I don't KNOW 5 people who blog who haven't done this through Tiffany so I'll do LACEY and TAMI, my two wonderful sisters-in-law who know what its like to come into the Fowler family. They keep my sanity! And Miss Megan. Meg, I know you're busy with a new baby, but you have to do it! And my buddy from BZ, Kizzie!

Skewed Perspectives

No wonder I'm scared of having more kids! It's not the kids that scare me (most of the time) but the world they will have to grow up in. I wish sometimes that I could just wait and raise them during the Millenium. BTW, My cousin Kimmy posted these videos on the bulletin board....now I'm really going to bed....g'nite.

(hopefully these work)

I'm SOO tired...

Almost too tired to blog, but here we go.... Last night we were SOOO slow at the restaurant (Like it is every year at this time) and Laurie and I ended up drinking about 40 ounces of Diet Coke in about 4 hours. (Not recommended) Not only did I have to use the bathroom every five minutes, I ended up not being able to fall asleep until 4 o'clock this morning. I am so tired....but of course....faithfully I sit typing away.....so my faithful readers (ummm.....Lacey) that I'm sleepy. You're Welcome.
