Funky Chicken

Alright, I wasn't going to post about this wonderful experience, but as I was doing the dishes I decided I just couldn't help myself. Last night Tim came home from work with a hankering for BBQ chicken. I was completely surprised because Tim just finished working 2 hrs. of mandatory overtime and I thought he would just come home and lounge. Nope, I got out of cooking duty. While he cooked, Gavin decided to deliver mommy a present in his diaper and new yellow stained onesie, so I attended to that. I heard Tim come in the back door 2 min. later asking if we wanted Burger King. Confused, I poked my head out of Gavin's room and asked what was the matter. He came in to the bedroom and said he'll take care of the poop if I go outside and look at the chicken. He warned that if I did, I would probably never eat chicken again. He was right. I went outside and lifted the lid of the BBQer and saw the pieces of chicken turning grey and oozing grey-black liquid. I won't go into too much detail about what it looked like to save everyone elses lunch, but I will tell you that it was chicken purchased last week from Walmart (the cheapest kind). I will never buy it again. I still get ickey when I think about it. Don't buy the chicken!!

Another story that might make my mom happy is Gavin, once again pooped ALL OVER ME! I swear, I should just wrap him up in a towel and leave him the bath tub all day. I was trying to get him to nap when I heard the rumbling. Out of reflex, I grabbed him and moved his butt as far away from my couch as possible. And then the eruption. I saw it come squirting out both sides of the diaper. One side emptied into my open hand....nasty....and the rest all over the boy. Luckily, he missed my clothes and the furniture. I have no idea how though. Somehow, it got on his hands and then on his binkie and then all over his feet. He spared no inch of his body, the little turd. I just decided to throw the onesie away because I did not want to clean that nastiness up. GRRR....does anyone know what gets the yellow stains out of clothes?! I swear he's a walking Shout commercial, but it doesn't work as good as I would like. Is there something else?? Help!!!
This pic is after the blowout. Why is he so freaking happy??!!

Holy Scouts!

Our new calling in the ward officially begins next week! I WAS excited to begin until our little meeting on Sunday with the other scout leaders. Let me tell you....I am now scared to death. They told us that while the other groups have maybe 8 boys in there group we have 13 ACTIVE boys. Yee Haw. We are going to go absolutely nuts. They must have seen the fear in our eyes because the scoutmaster hurried and said that he will be there to help us. THAT'S RIGHT, BUDDY!! They then proceeded to tell us that by January we will have 10 more coming into our den and only 3 leaving. How on earth are we going to fit 20 8yr.olds into our house?! Hopefully they'll let us use the rec room in the church along with lots of duct tape. I also have to plan EVERYTHING! What are they thinking??! I have NO idea what to do. All I got was a little book and they said "Good Luck"! Luck, I don't want Luck. I NEED a miracle! Well, I guess I can't complain too much. We were definately lucky to have weaseled out of a Nursery calling. Also, Tim keeps reminding me that this is his dream calling. He loves the outdoors and stuff like that. He was, after all, the one who mentioned to someone that he would love to be apart of the scouts. Well, he got his wish. Merry Christmas, honey. Don't say you never got anything! :)

Here's a couple pictures of the peanut just because I can:

Naked boy....loves bathtime. Maybe not, maybe he just likes to be naked. hmmm.....

Have you ever seen such a Chunky Monkey?! I couldn't resist showing off my fat boy! He looks like he was stung by a bee! Okay, he is cute...I'll keep him. He's just got more to love!

The Boys First Baseball Game

Last night Shawn took all of us to a Bees (Buzz, yellowjackets....whatever they're called now) game. A guy gave him $100 to unload some trees out of a truck. Why can't I get asked stuff like that. I'd probably eat poop for less than $100. Sad I know. Well, his generosity granted both my boys with their first Buzz baseball game. Tim was pretty excited. I was shocked that my sports fanatic had never been to one of these games. He sat there and watched very intently. He was sooo into it. Poor Gavin could have cared less. He slept most the time and when he wasn't sleeping he was pooping......all over mom. I swear, his future siblings won't have to worry about hand-me-downs. All of his clothes have giant bright yellow stains all over them. Oh yeah, and he ate EVERY hour on the HOUR. No joke. I hope it's not another growth spurt......ewwwww.... Also, It was really nice to see Jonathan and Brandi. Jonathan came home for a week before he heads off to Iraq. I know he'll do good. Sorry if this post is hard to understand....Gavin's sleeping and I have no idea how long I have before it's RISE & SHINE!

Braydon and Tim.... Tim does not hug

The famm. Can't really see anything. Oh well.

How often can one get naked at a baseball game without getting arrested?!

His outfit WAS cute, but now its covered in poop.

A Day at the Park

Yesterday, Tim decided it would be a good idea to take the fussy bug out for a walk and see if we could get him to sleep. Oh man, I cannot begin to describe how freaky deaky angry he's been the last couple of days. I think he's coming up on another growth spurt. I can't believe I survived the last one.....grrr...anyway... Mom and all of her infinate wisdom (Tim would beg to differ) decided she should bring the camera along and take pictures of him playing on the playground of the elementary school. Hello.....isn't the purpose of the walk to get him to sleep?! Not if momma's got a camera. MUAHAHAHA. Well, he stayed awake for the first 2 seconds of pictures, then he was out like a light. Tim and I left him in the stroller to sleep while we played on the swings and slides. It was alot of fun, and I took WAY too many pictures!

Okay.....I'm scaring myself....poor baby bug.

Poor kid, the things we subject him to.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Happy Birthday Bond....Floyd Bond. You are the light in my life. I love you so much. Thank you for everything you've done for Tim, Gavin and I . You always have the right advice and the right words to say to brighten anyone's day. I love you and thank you for giving me eternity! I never would have married in the temple and believed in the gospel if it wasn't for you and Grandma. All I want to do is make you proud!

Love,
Crystal

By the way, why don't you EVER look at the camera!! You are so beautiful....to me....can't you see?!

Anna Banana

I love this baby girl! She is soooo beautiful. I can't believe she's my little sister and I get to play with her all the time. Tomarrow is my first day babysitting the beauty. Dad's taking Ian, KK, and Jess to Lagoon and Jodi's going out for a few hours so I get to love on Anna and Gavin. I'm so excited! (A little nervous too!) Pray that I won't make her cry, okay?!

Jodi says this is her "I've gotta poo" look.

And here is my neice K.K. who I never get any pics of. It's awesome she's down to visit for a few weeks. I love the girl!

Gavin Moved Out

Okay, I love my boy, but I've sent him packing! From now on he sleeps in his own crib. Not that he really gives a care. He totally does fine in it. I've noticed that he actually sleeps better in it than in the bassinet. I think it was because he was too darn fat for it. Oh well......I sleep alot better with him in another room. Maybe that's because I turn the moniter all the way down so I can't hear anything! j/k I'm not THAT evil!

The Caribou County Fair

All year we wait for this weekend. Tim starts packing just after Christmas to make sure he has enough shirts and pants to look as good as possible for all the carnies. This is a magical time where the Fowlers get together to have wicked games of badmitton, eat anything and everything in sight and compete for the pasta salad and rice crispies in the refridgerator. What else could I be talking about other than the Caribou County Fair. The only fair that has the ultimate parade, the ultimate rodeo and ultimate fair food anywhere in the country AND the only way on earth you'd go is if you lived or have lived with anyone whos resided in southern Idaho! YEE HAW! Our weekend began as usual with us driving up to Grace Thursday afternoon. I can't believe it took us literally 6 hrs. to make the normally 3 hr. trek.....thanks Gavin....who decided he needed to eat every two hrs! We then relaxed the rest of the night and got up early the next morning. Okay, I lied, Tim got up at his usual 6:30Am and Gavin and I slept in until 9AM. (We're on vacation!) We then went to Bear Lake for the day with Wyatt, Tami and their boys and Ma and Pa Fowler. I sat in the car with Wyatt, Dave, Tim and Gavin.......a girl could go crazy alone with these boys!! They debated, argued and shouted at each other THE WHOLE WAY. But what could I expect, it's just what they do. We finally got to Bear Lake and stopped in at a craft fair. Christine loves going to these fairs to get ideas for her booth. I really hope she decides to work on the stilts made from pipes. I think they'd sell! She is so talented. I wish I could make money off of my craftyness.....but I don't have any craftyness! We then went back to Grace where we met up with Tyler and Lacey and Wendy and Chris. Tim and I decided not to go to the rodeo until the next night because of the gigantic nasty storm cloud that looked to be headed our way. So we watched Tatum and Kennedy so Lacey and Tyler and Wyatt and Tami could go to the rodeo. Those two kids were so wonderful! They really were good kids. I only had to lock them in the closet twice......really only 2 times!! (J/k guys....it was duct tape). Well, right before the rodeo ended Kennedy decided she'd had too much fun and pooped her pants.....all down her leg, all over the place! It was sooo funny, I couldn't stop laughing. Tatum then decided he wanted to play too and pooped himself. Hey, what are cousins for?! We ended up throwing them both into the tub. Boy, did that bathroom stink! The next day, Chris and Wendy went jet skiing, Tyler ran the 5 K and and Lacey and Christine made some moolah at the garage sale. Everyone else just sort of hung out until the parade later that night. At the parade all of the kids came away with a major haul. I was surprised at how well Tatum and Kennedy did at getting all the candy! Gavin, sadly ended up forking over all of his candy to mommy and daddy.....it was good. After the parade, we all decided to go to the hypnotist instead of the rodeo because of the slightly crappy weather. The hypnotist was great, but I did something greater....I Nursed in Public! Right in the middle of a freaking huge crowd! I was so happy, now I know there is no excuse not to go any where! (Applause.....I'm amazing....*sigh). After the fair and my delicious $1 scone, we headed to the hotel with Wyatt and Tami in Soda Springs. It was surprisingly nice. Not too shabby. In the morning we said our goodbyes and headed home following the Carnie's Caravan. Luckily, we were driving behind the basketball game and all of the basketballs came spilling out....we had no choice but to stop the car and pick up a basketball! Who said you never win anything?!!? Oh yeah....and Tim won $11 off of a lotto ticket....sweet! Well, that was our journey, hope you didn't fall asleep reading it!! And if you did, wipe that soggy drool off your bottom lip!
***My pics won't upload! Sorry, I'll do it later....poop.

2 MONTHS!!!

Wow.....I can't believe we made it to 2 months. There is so much that Gavin has accomplished! Over the last 2 months he's started to hold his head up, started to smile big :) (my personal favorite), taken a bottle of boob milk from papa and pooped all over every single outfit that he owns. Luckily, I've figured out that those cheap diapers are soooo not worth the laundry! He has never peed or pooped out of Huggies or Pampers. There are just somethings you can't skimp on. No way, no how! We went to the doctor's yesterday too. He is now a whopping 13lbs. 8 oz. and 24 inches long. He's is the 90th percentile for every class! He is definately a big boy. He also got his shots yesterday. OUCH! It hurt me so much more than him. Poor kid is doped up on Tylenol as we speak. Passed out on the living room floor! Oh well......HAPPY 2Months, Gavin!!

Good Luck, Jonathon!

Yesterday Brandi's wonderful husband left for his training before he is deployed to Irag for 6 months. He is going to unselfishly ensure our freedoms by going overseas. We love him and wish him all the best. (Why did you choose bomb squad, again?) He is a wonderful guy and great to talk to. He does need to hurry home though.....I need a new baby in the family. Shawn needs to be a Grandpa!! We love you guys! Brandi, don't get into tooooooo much trouble with the crafting!! Remember, those are Jonathan's tools!!
