Gavin DID IT!! He rolled over! I can't believe it, I am so darn excited! He had been on the verge for quite some time now. I think he really had no motivation to do it until yesterday. I had layed him on his stomach to play with a crazy toy Tim bought him the other day and he started to freak out (nothing new). So, I decided to put the toy over him so he can see it and VOILA, he followed the toy with his eyes and there you have it. He is officially mobile! The funny thing now is that he is rolling like crazy all of a sudden. It's like something just clicked in his little peanut brain. He now rolls both ways and can get from one end of the room to the other. Its crazy! Go, baby bug, GO!

Ward Split
It's about TIME they split the ward....sheesh! We had been waiting and waiting for some indication that the split was going to happen and it finally came during sacrament yesterday. I think everyone is pretty happy about the split. The bishop said our ward had 823 members in it (not including children under eight)!! We definately needed somewhere else to grow. We are now back to our old ward building, which is nice because it's right across the street. Also, our scout count went down from 20 in our group to about 5. That is MUCH better. I feel alot less freaked out knowing there are less boys. I feel as if we can do alot more with them when there aren't as many. YEAH!! I really am excited. The only drawback is that we move to the 1:00pm block. Oh well, guess that means we can sleep in!

3 Months

It's official. My baby is 3 months old (as of September 4th.....yes, I know I am a little behind)! I can't believe how much he has grown. He's definately not a newborn any more. You know what I'm talking about, the babies that just sit there and stare into space and not interact. He is most certainly no where near that anymore. He is a full fledged, playful little boy with a personality and I LOVE IT!
So far this month he has mastered so much. He has figured out how to grab toys and other things, like mommas hair, and shove them into his mouth AND when he doesn't have a toy in his hand, he shoves almost his entire fist into his mouth and chomps down like it's going out of style. I swear the kid is going to grow a hand in his stomach! He has also discovered other body parts. His feet, for example, are a new thing to him. He gets a big kick out of grabbing his toes. Although, he hasn't been too successful at getting them into his mouth, which can make him quite irritated! Oh well, he'll get there soon!
I have also noticed my child is NOT a morning person just like his momma. The boy seriously sleeps in until 9 AM. (hey, I'm not complaining) I can usually get up, eat breakfast and maybe shower before the turkey wakes up. He has also settled into a "nap schedule". He eats, plays for an hour and a half then takes about an hour nap then does the whole thing over again until bedtime. However, my only problem with this is that if he doesn't get to sleep when he wants to, he is a VERY unhappy chunk until I can get him to sleep.
But I really do love walking into his room after he wakes up in the morning or after a nap and I get that giant gummy grin. I know he recognizes me and that makes all giddy inside. I know that he trusts me and is comforted by me. I enjoy every minute of that!
By the way, I had better touch on how big he is. I mean take the fact that he is in SIZE 3 diapers for instance. I don't know 1 kid his age in size 3 diapers. I don't get it. I also went into his room today to find church pants for him to wear and the only thing that fits him is a size 6-12 months. Luckily he's not only chunky, he's tall too. He's in the 95% on height. Last I measured him he was 26" long......WOW.....momma's milk has been good to the peanut. He has certainly not missed any meals!
Some of his favorite toys are his fishy bouncer, the linkadoos on his car seat and the board books dad bought him. He goes crazy in that bouncy chair whenever I put it on the kick toy. He just goes crazy trying to kick the fishy's so that the bubbles, lights and music turn on. It is so funny to see him spaz out like that! He has also found a new fascination with books. He actually acts interested when I read to him. That's a good thing considering his mom is a book lover.
Well, my little drool bug. Momma and Daddy love you and you are definately their favorite. Get ready for month number 4!!

The Bumbo Diner

Tim came home the other day with Gavin sitting on the island counter in his Bumbo seat. He said he looked so freaking cute. He said he looked as if he was cooking dinner and not mom. He had the cutest grins when momma was dancing around singing while making Hamburger Helper (yep, I'm really a gormet chef). I love this boy!
Gotsta love the goofy, drooly, chunky smiley!

Babyzone Girls

As I had mentioned in the previous post, I am absolutely obsessed with Babyzone.com. I love it. It has been nice having a group of girls you can talk to about everything! I have literally been chatting with these wonderful women since I was 4 months pregnant. I now belong to the June Birthday Club (used to be the June Due Date Club), Breastfeeding support group and the weightloss board. These women have been so helpful to me. I have never felt silly asking questions that I would normally feel funny asking a pediatrician or nurse. I always find the right advice or encouragement I need. For example, I would have never have made it this far into breastfeeding if it wasn't for them. There help has made me realize that I can make it the entire year. They know everything!!! I can't imagine life without them.
Last Tuesday I had a wonderful opportunity to meet with a couple Babyzoners at Cabela's in Lehi. It was the most fun I've had in a long time! Adrianna brought her son AJ. They are from New Jersey and were in town blessing there handsome baby boy. Julie is from Provo and has the 3 most beautiful children you will ever see. She brought along her baby girl Reagan who is going to grow up to just as beautiful as her big sister Jillian. I can't believe that I was just meeting these women for the first time. To me, it seemed as if I had known them for years. They are some really wonderful women.
Here is AJ, Reagan and Gavin. Gavin is easy to spot. He's the giant on the end.

The Bumbo Bandwagon

That's right, I've jumped on the Bumbo Bandwagon and the ride is fantastic! For those who do not know, I'm mildly obsessed, maybe even clinically obsessed with babyzone.com. The ladies on there have been with me since we were all pregnant together in the June Due Date Club. Well, recently everyone started to become facinated with the Bumbo Seat. "What's a Bumbo?" you may ask. It's only the most genious item for a baby in the world!! It's kind of like a booster seat, but it's got flavor! It helps babies as little as 3 months sit up on their own. So nice when they want to be apart of the party. For mom's it's awesome because you can set the kid on the table or a countertop and have him sit up and see what's going on. The mom is hands free and able to do the stuff she needs! (Hey I should get paid for this endorsement....I'm a freaking commercial!) I love it and Gavin loves it! It was my first Ebay purchase, too! I'm just a crazy ebay fool now! Okay.....since you are all curious about this fancy schmancy thingie....I'd better post pics so you know what on Earth I'm going on about.
Too bad my Chunky Monkey may not be able to fit very much longer. (It's big enough for NORMAL size 2 year olds!)
