Kid Tag!

(these pictures are when he was first born. I don't have any others loaded since the virus problem. I miss how little he was!)
Thanks, Julie for tagging Gavin. I was looking for something fun to blog about and this was just what I needed.

The tag is nice and easy. Just name 10 fun facts about your kids. Any mom can do that! I think it would be hard to stop at 10!

Here goes:

1. Gavin is a sleeper! He sleeps like a log. He sleeps in until 9AM EVERYDAY and takes a 3-4 hour nap everyday. LOVE IT!

2. Gavin loves to get dirty and play with bugs. He could spend hours in a dirt pile and never get board.

3. He is my little traveler. Just since he's been born he's been to Seattle, Disney World, all over Arizona, Denver, Idaho and every weekend trip in between. He has been all over and has never been a pain. He does well outside of his normal routine and just goes with the flow.

4. He is left handed and loves to draw "circo's" (circles) and funny faces.

5. He loves to copy everything Tim does. He follows him around with a rag and a squirt bottle of water and mimics all of Tim's cleaning skills. He gets so serious when it comes to cleaning...just like his daddy.

7. His favorite things to do include: going "jump, jump" at Riley and Tatum's, playing at my mom and Shawn's house, beating up on Ian and Anna at my dad's, watching his Thomas the "Choo Choo" movies and just being outside. He is ALWAYS so silly and so happy. He just cracks me up on some of the stuff he says or does.

8. He loves pizza, macaroni and cheese, frozen peas, eggs, apples, lean pockets, pretzels, chocolate milk, french fries, oatmeal....and pretty much anything you set in front of him.

9. I love how he loves to say his prayers and always makes sure we pray. He'll sit and read his scriptures (the children's) and really seem to understand it (kind of), and he loves to sing in church. I have to say though, my kid HATES nursery. He would rather die than be left in nursery without Tim or myself. I don't understand it. He does fine anywhere else, it's just nursery.

10. His current obsessions include anything with trains, Wall-e, Kungfu Panda, Chocolate milk, looking through our old scrapbooks, babies (thank goodness), and helping me with anything he can.

I love my little boy and wouldn't trade him for anything. I love his curly hair and his silly smile more than life itself. I couldn't imagine one day without him!

I guess I better tag some people...I'll go with the kids of Lacey, Kim, and Erin. (Don't worry, I won't be offended if you don't want to do it!)

Today our new washer and dryer made their appearance in our house. I think this is a picture of them...atleast it looks like them. Thank goodness they are finally hear because tomorrow is laundry day! YAY!

Also, tonight was another great night because Kungfoo Panda came out in the dollar theater! SCORE! Gavin sat there the entire time. Occasionally he had to turn to one of us and "explain" what was going on. It really is a cute thing. We were even in luck because it was discount Tuesday at the Sugarhouse theater. Instead of being $1.50 per person it was......$1.00! DOUBLE SCORE! Lovin' it!

Lindsi's Birthday

My good friend Lindsi celebrated her birthday at the Olive Garden last Tuesday with all our friends and her family. It was great fun. We were all loud and crazy.

We gave Terry the camera and told him to take a couple of group pictures......10 pictures later....we finally got one we like! Torrie, I put most of them up for you!

We really shouldn't be allowed to hang out together....but I have fun everytime!

I swear...

I swear, if I throw up ONE more TIME.....I'll, just do it again and have to deal with it. This pregnancy has already been worse than Gavin's and I didn't think that was possible. I'm not writing this to get sympathy (okay, maybe a bit) but I just need to vent before I barf again. BAH! I also feel like such a bad mom because all Gavin and I have done for a week is watch movies and play while I lay on the floor. I feel like a crappy mom. I miss playing with my little buddy....even though he INSISTS I carry him up and down our stairs....everytime......

Okay, I'm done now.

Death of a Dryer

Oh, how bitter sweet it is. After I had finished (and put away, thankgoodness) all of the other laundry, our sweet dryer took it's final breath with 10 minutes left in drying the towels. The laundry Gods have smiled on us once again, allowing me to finish, before he took away my essential appliance. We did try everything to revive it and knew it was on it's last leg anyways, so we decided to say our final words and let it go.

I actually cried a bit (pregnancy hormones) because I become attached to things easily(as if you all didn't know that). I remember when my dad and Jodi gave it to us after Tim and I got married. Serious sentimental value for me....I know...it's just a dryer.

Anyways, to raise my hopes, Tim said "What the heck...looks like we're getting a new set sooner than we thought." I tried to look sad and pitiful, but inside my heart was 10X's bigger. I have been dreaming about a nice front load washer and dryer ever since Tim spent our tax moolah on a fancy TV. This is my fancy TV.

Thank you cloth diapering Gods....although I am sad to see him go (yes, it's a male apparatus).

New Baby, Chicken, and Friends...not in that order.

When we got home from Colorado, we went over to Brian and Sally's because Colton, Sarah and their girls came down for Lagoon. (I didn't tell them I was sick...sorry guys, if you got sick) We can't not see these guys! I can't believe it had been weeks since I'd seen Brian and Sally...they are an ATLEAST once a week occurrence! Here's our cute little family photo.
The NEXT day....we HAD to go see my step sister Brandi's new beautiful baby boy Aden! He is so cute, chunky and calm! I'm bummed that I didn't get any pics of him, but I will for sure on Sunday at her birthday dinner! Highlight of the evening....Papa hippie taught Gavin how to eat chicken off the bone. They are so cute together. I'm so glad he's there to teach him all the rugged, manly stuff. Who else would teach him how to make mud pies and handle bugs...not me! They're best buddies for sure. I can't wait for Aden to get bigger and can play with these guys!
Jess and Braydon...looking sexy as ever....I don't think my sister ever looks normal in a picture...

On a side note, when we got back our ward was split. It was completely unexpected! Our ward isn't THAT big and now we've been kicked out of our building for a few months while the refinish it. So now church is from 1-4.....yikes....we'll see how naptime turns out. Now we know why they haven't given anyone callings. There were about 30 people without callings....it was weird. Anyways, guess that's just what happens when you leave for a few weeks.

Colorado Voyage

Did I ever mention I love traveling and road trips?! Well, I'm mentioning it....Right Now! I love traveling with my boys. Tim is always so happy and fun and Gavin is always a good kid...as long as we have the DVD player...and a bag of M&M's. I did pretty good on the way there not getting sick and all. I think it had to do with me reading 'Breaking Dawn' the entire way there.

We were so excited to see the other Fowlers! We don't get to see Cody and Kim and the kids very often, so when the opportunity to drive to Pueblo came up, we snagged it. We really miss them living closer, but I'm glad they gave us a chance to go on a week long vacation!

To begin, Kim made sure we were never hungry and never bored! We went fishing with all the kids and it was so much fun. I was stunned how good Eli, Luke, Jess and Nicki were at catching frogs and fishing. It was fun! Gavin LOVED it!! Then we tried to take the fishing pole away from him or fixing it, he'd throw a Class 3 tissy. He even fell in the lake...Thanks again Kim!

The next day, Tim and I went to 6 Flags in Denver....by ourselves! It was a total date! Kim offered to watch Gavin and we had the best day ever. I rode those rides until I got sick...and then did it all again. Then, Tim took me to an AWESOME Steak House...fully equipped with a giant slide, live band and dancing cowboys.
The next day, it was nice because we all just hung out and we went up to Bishop Castle. It was a HUGE castle handmade by a conspiracy theorist. It was amazing! The only admission he charged was 20 minutes of listening to him rant about the government conspiracys against him. Way cool!

The day after....Poor Nicki and Gavin got super sick. Nicki got the worst of it! Kim and I stayed home with the kids and just watched movies all day and slept...and read the Twilight Series....

Tim, Cody, Jess, Eli and Luke all drove up to Colorado Springs to see the Airforce Museum, Garden of the Gods, the Olympic Training Facility and eat at Red Robin...without us! Tim said he had so much fun getting to spend time with his brother.

It was sad to leave....and just when we left.....I GOT SICK! I was SOOOO sick the entire way home and 3 days after. Then my morning sickness came on full force as soon as I was done with that.....and still hasn't left yet. BLAH!!

All in all, we are so greatful we have such good family to let us crash at their house! Kim, thanks for everything! Also...on a side note....if you could comment in my blog your blog site, it would be wonderful! I can't remember it for the life of me! Thanks and I love you guys!!

Caribou County Fair 2008

Here are some random photos of the most redneck of them all...The Caribou County Fair. Sadly, I don't have many pics of the fair itself. Just a bunch of random stuff.
Gavin and Tatum taking a swim. Gavin had a funny time adjusting to the hose water. A bit cold for him.

Chris and I after the 5 K. We got FREE Powerade, Tshirts and fancy wrist bands (all left over from the year before...the dates were totally wrong LOL! Only at this fair, I tell you) I finished in 37 minutes. Not bad...for me....being pregnant, chubby and short.
Buddies getting ready for the parade.
Our tribe of Fowlers
Riley, Tatum and Wyatt at the Little Buckaroo Contest.
Riley ALMOST one. He would have if he would have tripped the kid who went last. That kid was definitely on steroids. Too bad they don't have random drug testing in the Little Buckaroo.
This picture is for Mel, Paige, Erin and Morgan......Your dad looks GREAT in pink! Gavin wouldn't let go of your mom until she left. He must have smelled Cooper on her!

On my way HOME!

I'm leaving Colorado today....boooo
