Otter Pops

My Gavin's new favorite food is Otter Pops. He loves getting our balcony sticky as well as anything within 5 feet of his stinkbug hands.

His Otter pop eating record stands at 2 minutes from start to finish. BEAT THAT SUCKA!

Just Venting

Okay, I love my husband, but WHY DOES HE HAVE TO HANG THINGS ON THE WALL WHEN I'M NOT HOME (or upstairs)?! I don't think he really understands how frustrated it makes me! I know he's just trying to help get the house looking spiffy, but it's driving me mad. Here's why: I'M SHORT.....5'3 WITH shoes on! He doesn't get the fact that 'Yes' HE can see in the mirror he just hung in our foyer, but I can't. Also, I just bought this super cute chalk board at IKEA today and he hung it....where I can't write on it. Grrrr....... He's a good man, but men don't understand. Being shrimpy means everything needs to be a little lower. Maybe he'll read this and get the hint!

P.S. I Still LOVE his guts!

Halloween ALREADY?!

Okay, I must admit that as soon as we hit the end of June I began scouring the internet for Halloween costumes. I was hard to admit that there was no way on earth that I could top the lobster costume last year. That was just too funny.

This year he's going to be......

A BABY TURTLE!!

I just can't seem to resist making my poor kid look like an idiot......ohhhhh the good times.....

Picasso

Lately, Gavin has been only taking one nap in the afternoon rather than two (hence, my lack of blogging...that was done during his SECOND nap). I never thought that I would love it so much! There are so many things we've been able to do and so many activities I've been dying to try and it just wasn't possible when he was sleeping two hours after he woke up.

So far we have been taking nice super long walks at the Jordan River Parkway, playing at the park, having fun at the library and fingerpainting. I love this mommy-stinkbug time! Also, weaning him has been much easier with only one nap a day. Now he's only nursing at night and it is so NICE. He's really not as attatched to the boob as I thought. He really doesn't miss it. He's also been going crazy with the Baby Signs. So far, he's figured out Book, More, Eat (which is still smacking himself in the face) and drink. He has even made up his own signs too....i figured, why change what works. He sniffs for 'flower' and sticks his tounge out for 'dog'. So stinking cute, I think.

Here's some lovely pictures of the mess we made while finger painting. I've used so much paint this week that I think we may be needing more very soon!

Torrie's Peanut Shower

I LOVE MYSPACE! It was sent from heaven, I swear! Without it, I never would have found all of my best friends from high school all pregnant and married and stuff. I LOVE IT (i think i said that already).
Anyways, Saturday was Torrie's baby shower and I loved getting to hang out with her and a bunch of other friends. I hadn't seen most of these girls for 5 or so years! We weren't supposed to get married and have kids!! What's wrong with us?! We were supposed to always think the universe revolves around us and only us (oh wait, it still does!). Here's Lindsi, Marissa, Me, Kirstin and Torrie! Shannon was also there and a couple others from school. MEG, I'm sorry we missed YOUR shower! I didn't realize that was why you were coming up....I'm an idiot! I would have brought you some diapers or something!! Here's beautiful pregnant Meg and Ashley. (Sorry, Meg, I stole your picture!)The "STRAW" team. Well, we are still missing Lorraine and Brendee. Hopefully, they'll be here for the big shindig I'm trying to plan for next month! I can't wait!

CONGRATULATIONS, MEG AND TORRIE!!

Smile, Please!

This is the closest I came to an on camera smile. As soon as he sees me pull out the camera he gets really serious. I have to trick him to get a smile out of him. I just one one BIG smile for the camera! I need one to frame and I just can't do it. (Maybe I should quit taking 50 pictures a day!)

It's too hot for Penguins to just be walking around...

Last Saturday, we went to the zoo. It was everything we had hoped for and more, except for the fact that we couldn't see half the animals. I felt like I was at the "Invisible Zoo". All was well though, Gavin just got the biggest kick out of everything and was totally engrossed in most of the animals....especially the monkeys. He just giggled and waved at the cute little spider monkeys and SCREAMED when it was time to move to the next exhibit. Another favorite of his was the alligator. I have no idea why though...the sucker didn't move. It didn't even looked like it was alive......BUUUUTT there was a nice shiny penny someone left on it's back. Maybe Gavin was looking at the Bling, not the animal. He liked the alligator so much, I let him ride it. I'm such a good mom. Tim was shocked when I let him eat a french fry. I am such a health food freak with this kid, it's really annoying. I really should follow his diet plan.

You GOTSTA have one of these pictures if you go to the HOGLE ZOO!

Down for the count....I'm glad he had fun!

Meez

Well, here I am....all animated and stuff. I must admit, I look a whole heck of a lot better animated. The baby kind of scared me though. Gavin is not that creepy looking!

Caribou County Fair

It's late.....and I just remembered that I haven't posted any pics of the Caribou County Fair. What's wrong with me?! Where have I gone wrong?! Maybe I just thought because Lacey posted her's quickly that was good enough. (Way to go, Lacey! You da Shiznit!) We didn't get to enjoy the fair as long as we usually liked this year. We missed a few key items, the demolition derby and the rodeo, but other than that it was still fun. Dave had a reunion (class of '69 I think) and he was in a Super good mood all weekend.....besides getting into the usual arguments with Wyatt (another story). We ate candy and fair food until we got sick and played Hillbilly golf until our heart was content. We all need to get out more often!

Dave telling his stories (there good, though!)

The kids at the parade.I Love Candy

Playing in Grandma's rocks.Gavin LOVED the kiddie pool. Maybe next year he'll be ready for uncle tyler's makeshift slip and slide.

Thanks for letting Gavin play with Kennedy's beads....my little girl.

First Haircut

Last night, we took Gavin to Cookie Cutter's to be rid of the mullet once and for all. I know what most are thinking.....FINALLY! I know, I know...

He did wonderfully. A whole heck of alot better than I thought. I was thinking there was NO WAY for him to sit still longer than a few seconds, but they proved me wrong. He just sat and watched Baby Einstein and played with a Dora doll. What a good kid!

Here's a few before going under the knife....

Poor Girl. I swear after taking 50 pictures, she probably wants to kill me!After Shots:

He looks like a little boy now...not a little girl!

Loved his balloon. Wouldn't let go of it for hours!

Hey, mom and dad need to look sexy too!

Christian's Baptism

Last Sunday, Christian celebrated his baptism! He is officially a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We are so proud of him and can't believe how big and wonderful he has become. CONGRATULATIONS, CHRISTIAN!!
And here's the Fowler's....aren't we just dead sexay??
